Sami Hayek, LRCP (Lond), LRCS (Eng), LMSSA (Lond), MRCS (Ed), MRCS ad eundem (Eng), MD (Res-Lond), FRCS (Urol)

Sami is a consultant urologist at Addenbrookes’ Hospital in Cambridge. He has special interest in managing sexual dysfunction and hypogonadism in addition to his skills in managing all aspects of general benign and cancer urology conditions.


Sami has received his primary medical qualification from London University and completed his basic surgical training in Yorkshire. He undertook over two-year research fellowship at the Bristol Urological Institute. His research led to several publications and was awarded the Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from London University. Sami has gained broad experience in Urology by joining the Southwest of England Specialist Registrar Higher Surgical Training program in Urology, which is one of the most competitive in the country. He was then appointed as a clinical instructor in Urology in the United State of America (USA) where he spent a year before joining Addenbrookes' Hospital.

Sami has acted as a representative on the Andrology Executive Committee for the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS). In 2015 and 2016, he organised successful sexual dysfunction training days for GPs and psychosexual therapists with association of East of England Royal College of GPs. He participates regularly in the European Society of Sexual Medicine (ESSM) meetings.
